The 2025 World Robot Conference was held in Beijing from August 8 to 12. Zoomlion, a global leader in equipment manufacturing, showcased its full-chain achievements spanning application, R&D, and manufacturing in both industrial robots and embodied intelligent humanoid robots.
From Early Adopter to Smart Manufacturing Pioneer
Zoomlion was one of the first companies in the industry to adopt robotics. Since introducing robotic arms in 2006, to the large-scale deployment of "adaptive robots" with perception capabilities in 2019, its Smart Industrial City in Changsha has integrated over 300 production lines utilizing more than 2,000 robots. This enables fully traceable, "ultra-large-scale agile manufacturing."
Humanoid Robots Enter Factory Pilots
Starting in 2024, Zoomlion initiated R&D on embodied intelligent humanoid robots and has since developed three prototypes, including both wheeled and bipedal models. Currently, dozens of humanoid robots are being piloted in machining, logistics, assembly, and quality inspection. The company has also established a humanoid robot training ground and the "ZVALLEY Embodied Intelligence Platform" to facilitate continuous robotic evolution.
Future Vision: Human-Robot Collaboration and Flexible Customization
Zoomlion envisions a future factory where clusters of industrial and humanoid robots work in synergy. The goal is to evolve from today's "multi-variety, small-batch" production to future "single-piece, personalized customization," building self-perceptive and self-decision-making smart factories. This strategy closely aligns with the national direction of developing embodied intelligence as a future key industry.
