Messe München has announced the inaugural edition of bauma SAUDI ARABIA, scheduled for April 2027 in Riyadh, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with dmg events, which will serve as the exhibition organizer and local project partner.

Driven by its ambitious "Vision 2030" reform program, Saudi Arabia is establishing itself as one of the most dynamic growth markets in the Middle East, with a strategic focus on infrastructure investments. The construction sector alone is projected to reach a market volume of approximately €130 billion (US$151 billion) by 2030. According to Messe München, the country's heavy reliance on imported goods creates ideal conditions for bauma and its clients. "As the world's leading platform for machinery, technologies, and services in the construction and mining sectors, bauma connects international suppliers with investors and key decision-makers from business, government, and academia," the group stated.

The two organizers have agreed on a clear division of focus for their respective Saudi events starting in 2027. The Big 5 Construct Saudi will concentrate on construction materials, building design, and fit-out, while bauma SAUDI ARABIA will center on construction machinery and vehicles, building material machinery, and mining equipment.

This partnership combines complementary strengths: dmg events brings extensive local expertise and a robust regional network from years of organizing trade fairs in the Middle East, while Messe München contributes unparalleled global experience, a vast international network, and deep industry-specific knowledge in construction and mining equipment exhibitions.

Scheduled for April 2027 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center, bauma SAUDI ARABIA will be Messe München's second proprietary event in the region. The trade fair is designed to offer exhibitors from the construction machinery, building material machines, mining equipment, construction vehicles, and tools sectors high visibility within a dynamic market environment and access to significant business opportunities.

bauma SAUDI ARABIA will join Messe München's portfolio of other international events, including bauma CHINA, bauma CONEXPO INDIA, and M&T EXPO in Brazil. The flagship bauma in Munich remains the world's largest trade fair by exhibition space.
